                                          http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/24/us/politics/24immig.html
  1. What do you think about this?
I think that the law that Gov. Jan Brewer signed was kind of hard and strict. Now someone who looks "illegal"  will be send back.
  2. How does this affect your opinion of immigration today?
This affect my opinion by supporting more the way I think about Goverment of Arizona are like. The Goverment of Arizona is being so selfish and patriotic

     3.  What should be done?

I think that the law should be canceled. People are looking for better lives not to ruin U.S.

First person narrative or journal entry- Italian

Dear Journal,

Only two days have passed and this sea got me sick. Everything here stinks and were all dirty. I miss Italy and my family but I am looking forward for this new life. I can't wait to get to see the true "American Dream". Still it won't be that good with out Papa and Mama and my little brother Tony.

So as soon as I get to America I will get a job to paid tickets for them. Hope everything will be fine.
I decided to move on I can't leave in the conditions I lived in Italy. Poverty led us to nothing in Italy. Natural disasters ruin all my agricultural work. All I want is a better life.

I decided to live in Northeast of America. I feel like a traitor, like if left or abandoned my home, my Italy. Everything I had, my past, my problems are left behind, because I am in search of a better life.

In this like I said everything stinks were all dirty and sweating a lot. This sun got my skin burned and hope this food will be enough for the next few days. I trust in God that he will give me a new life a new beginning. America here I come!!!

Arrivederci my Italy!

Italy a country in Europe with its unique culture that we see since their immigration to US. We see Italian culture everywhere in Italian restaurants, commercials, movies etc.Their immigration made a big influence in the American culture.

There are many reasons for Italian immigration, for example Poverty which there wasn't enough money for food. Another reason is the overpopulation which many people where born and little death. Also, another reason are the natural disasters that led farmers to misery.

There journey to US was surprising because a small portion of Italian came to US. In few years they Italian immigration grew. They made a 1.5% of US population. Italians became the largest foreign group in United States.

There life in US where kind of harsh. Italians had the dirty jobs for lower payment. They where overcrowded and filthy. Later on, the became clean and healthy people. Also, they had better jobs like shoemakers, fruit sellers, fisherman and many others.

Thanks to their immigration to U.S. I have learned many things about them. I have learned about their unique food, language, and other parts of their culture. Also, it wasn't easy for Italians search for better life in U.S.  They get little with the hard work they have done to get a better life.
